Workshop 3 – Public Speaking

On December 2nd, 2023, the third workshop in the Wired Youth: Science Forum (WYSF) project was held at the Valletta Design Cluster from 9 am to 1 pm. This session focused on public speaking, equipping the young participants with essential skills for the upcoming parliamentary and international debates.

Youth workers from Agenzija Zghazagh, in collaboration with the Malta Chamber of Scientists, organized several interactive activities. These included asking the young people to describe their favourite items, helping them to practice articulating their thoughts clearly and confidently.

The workshop also introduced the participants to the PVLEGS method, a framework designed to help individuals master public speaking. PVLEGS stands for Poise, Voice, Life, Eye Contact, Gestures, and Speed. By focusing on these six elements, the young attendees learned how to present themselves with confidence, engage their audience, and deliver their messages effectively.
